HOUSEHOLDERS in Thornbury are fighting plans for a development featuring up to 350 new homes on the edge of the town.

Traffic has been stopped and a motorway has been closed due to a multi-vehicle crash on the route this evening (Sunday, March 1). National Highways said in an alert that the M5 was shut between junction 14 (Falfield) and junction 13 (Stroud) because of a collision. National Highways said emergency services, including Gloucestershire police, are in attendance.
