Badminton Estate Late Summer Open Garden Day

Come and explore the gardens of the historic Badminton House, home of the Duke and Duchess of Beaufort.

The beautiful gardens will be open to the public for the final time this year on Sunday 7th September 2025. (The gardens open annually in April, June, and September.) Visitors are invited to wander through these historic grounds and enjoy the remarkable blend of heritage and horticulture, designed by renowned landscape architects Russel Page and François Goffinet.

Discover a wonderful variety of planting: from the elegant formal beds on the east side of the house to the South Garden, with its water squares, hedges, and colourful borders. Expect glorious late-summer displays of dahlias, roses, and cosmos in soft, seasonal shades. Just a short stroll through the park lies the Walled Garden, home to the Badminton House kitchen garden, which produces fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers throughout the year.

These celebrated gardens will also become an RHS venue in 2026, hosting the RHS Badminton Flower Show. This open day offers a unique chance to enjoy them ahead of their national debut.

Alongside the gardens, visitors can browse a selection of plant and flower sellers, as well as food and drink stalls offering local delights.

Inside the house, the exhibition “A Garden of Botanical Art” will be on display in the Old Hall, with prints available to purchase in the shop.
