Pilning Open Flower Show

Having started way back in 1895, the ever-popular annual Pilning Open Flower Show is back again at St Peter’s School, Pilning (BS35 4JG) on Saturday 24th August. With lots of new competitors and visitors to the show in 2024, organisers are confident of another great event this year. Entering the show’s competitions is free and open to all, with cash prizes, certificates, and trophies to be won. There are classes for; vegetables, flowers, fruit, preserves, baking, photography, flower arranging, crafts, and of course, classes just for children. Entries can just be brought along on the Friday evening or on the morning of the show, but pre-registration is recommended to beat the queues.

The show opens at 2:15pm for the public, who can enjoy the exhibits, homemade refreshments, a bumper raffle and pick up a bargain in entertaining auction of produce and donated items. Admission for adults is £1, OAPs 50p and children free. All monies raised will go to local charity, Sight Support (West of England).
