Plant Sale & Craft Fair

Pop in and sample this popular fair which returns this year is on Saturday 9 May 10.30am-2.30pm. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you and makes this a perfect opportunity to pick up a variety of house and garden plants and high-quality gifts often not found in shops. There are about 33 stalls offering a wide variety of high-quality crafts from local crafters including jewellery, paintings, handmade art and decorative pieces of wood, 3D cards, knitted and felt toys and wall hangings, children’s books, puzzles and more. Every penny raised will go to IDAK Foundation, (www.idakfoundation.org ) a charity which helps vulnerable children, young people and families escape poverty and rebuild their broken dreams. Last year the amazing £1600 raised helped them to provide nutritious meals to keep pupils from humble backgrounds in school, enable education bursaries, provide better housing to widows with no family support, and small targeted financial aid and advice to small business start-ups for people with skills and ideas but limited resources. Entry is free and visitors can enjoy refreshments, homemade cakes, or a light lunch in the popular café.
