Cardiff Cotswold Opera works with a clear mission - Opera is for EVERYONE, no matter their age, background, or circumstances. Our focus is on making it accessible, approachable and enjoyable for all.
Our current production is Puccini’s La Boheme - a fantastic introduction to the genre. This piece has lasted through the ages for 2 simple reasons - 1) the music is ace, and 2) the story is relatable and still so relevant to us in the 21st Century.
The story follows a group of friends, all artists in their own ways, all striving and struggling and yet through adversity they still chose to believe in (to quote another famous group of Bohemians) Freedom, Beauty, Truth and Love. Doesn’t everyone want to be loved and accepted for who they are?
Show dates - June 21st and 22nd (The Mission Theatre, Bath), June 28th (Cotswolds Playhouse) and June 29th (St George's Church, Nailswroth).
