Simon Criddle

Simon’s love of radio began in 2006 when he first stepped behind the microphone under the guidance of his father, Chris. Since then, he has gained experience across both commercial and community radio, developing an engaging presentation style that combines great music, local stories and plenty of personality.

A familiar voice on the local airwaves, Simon grew up just outside Thornbury and attended Marlwood School. His strong connection to the area and its community is reflected in every programme he presents.

You can hear Simon weekdays from 10am to midday on Thornbury Radio. Whether he’s playing the soundtrack to your morning, sharing local news and events, or bringing listeners together through features such as “Flirty at 10:30” and the “Once at One” quiz, Simon’s aim is simple: to keep you informed, entertained and smiling.

Away from the studio, Simon enjoys cooking, running and spending time with his family. His music collection spans everything from classic rock and 80s favourites to timeless love songs – all of which regularly find their way onto his playlist.
