Half Term Fun! Help Thornbury’s Bugs get Cosy this Winter

Thornbury Town Council is inviting families to join in a Bug Hotel Furnishing Event this half term. It’ll be a fun, hands-on morning all about helping our creepy-crawly friends get ready for winter.

The event takes place on Monday 27th October, from 10.30am to 12.30pm, at Chantry Road Playing Field. Children will have the chance to help furnish Thornbury’s bug hotels and to forage for natural materials to make the bug hotels cosy and snug for the colder months ahead. There’ll also be a nature scavenger hunt to enjoy, plus the chance to make your very own mini bug hotel to take home - perfect for welcoming Thornbury’s tiniest residents!

It’s a free, family-friendly event that promises plenty of outdoor fun, creativity, and a great opportunity to learn about the important role bugs play in our local environment.

So grab your wellies, wrap up warm, and come along to help our Thornbury bugs settle in for the winter!
Parking is limited so please walk, cycle or travel sustainably if you can.
